Description:
A self - guided 1.9 km
interpretive trail details the natural and human history of the area,
including a log slide and dam built on the property in the 1870s
for the Mackey Lumber Company. A logger's cabin, found along the
trail, was reconstructed in 1989. Please
note the cabin is for day use only - overnight stays and campfires are
not permitted.
Directions:
From the HWY 11/17
junction near Seymour Street, take HWY 17 east towards Ottawa.
Turn right at HWY 630 after 40.5 km.
Take a slight left after 1.5 km to stay on HWY 630, and turn
right onto Suzanne Road.
