Laurier Woods Guided
Walks
Friends of Laurier Woods
will be providing guided hikes on the Laurier Woods trails every
Saturday in May. Take this chance to view spring birds, turtles,
and early wildflowers. Those interested are asked to meet at the
Brule Street entrance at 9:00 am.

at 5:00 pm on Friday
VMUTS Spring Rally
The Rally begins with a night ride on
Friday, May 9, with registration between 5:00pm and 6:00pm at the
Legion in Mattawa. Two ride options are available on Saturday,
ending with a dinner at the Legion, and the registration fee includes
a free trail pass for Sunday.

Tim Horton's Community Clean Up Day
The Community Clean Up Day will focus
on several communities in North Bay, probably including Marshall Park
Drive, McKeown Avenue, and Trout Lake Road. Tim Horton's will
pitch in gloves, a few t-shirts, and coffee and donuts for the early
risers.

Cure Diabetes

to raise money to support juvenile diabetes research, but to enjoy the

This triathlon includes 1 km of
swimming, 32 km of biking, and 8.4 km of running, and begins at the
Olmstead Beach on Lakeside Drive. This event can be completed as
an individual or as part of a team.
Before June 1, the fee for and
individual participant is $50, and after June 1, the fee increases to
$65. For teams, the fee before June 1 is $99, with an increase
to $120 after June 1.
